After a year of various rumors and false information, the coming of the 6th generation of the BMW 7-Series is finally confirmed and it will soon be presented to the world. The 2016 BMW 7-Series comes fully redesigned, and with the new chassis, interior design and features, as well as with a new engine lineup, the BMW’s leading sedan model will now, more than ever, be a serious contender for the 1st place in the big luxury sedan market. Also worth mentioning is the fact that the company has managed to cut down a great deal of the vehicle’s weight, thanks to the use of Carbon Core passenger cell and a huge amount of aluminum used for building the body.
2016 BMW 7-Series Redesign
Regarding the exterior of the new 7-Series, it represents a combination of the evolved current model’s look and the new BMW’s design touches. The front end wears the famous kidney grille, with the new, narrower and slimmer headlights, while the lower area comes with a more aggressive fascia that has an integrated set of fog lights. The sides of the car have received a chrome accent line in the lower area, while the back end is the part of the car that has suffered the biggest changes, with much more sport designed back lights, exhaust tips integrated in the back bumper, and a new shorter decklid.
Inside the new 2016 BMW 7-Series, you will only see luxury, plenty of modern technology, and extreme comfort. The cabin is upholstered with the premium leather as standard, while the back passengers also get the latest Rear Executive Lounge Seating Package, which basically gives them a feeling that they are enjoying a plane ride in the first class. Furthermore, the panoramic sunroof now comes as standard, while the Panoramic Sky Lounge LED Roof is optional. As for the tech features, BMW offers the latest iDrive system, which comes with a touchscreen and 3D sensors that scan your pre-selected hand gestures, and allow you to control, the audio settings, navigation, phone calls and more, without touching the screen.
