First presented in 1998, GMC Sierra came as a full-size pickup truck, and together with Chevy Silverado, which basically has the same characteristics, represents the best GM’s truck vehicles. The current generation of this model was unveiled in 2013, meaning that it is still pretty fresh. But, the GM is always a few steps ahead of time, and the next generation model is already planned for 2018. So the current generation will receive mid-cycle refreshment and be presented as the new 2016 GMC Sierra.
2016 GMC Sierra changes
When talking about the exterior design, we have to say that the Sierra models are always with a unique look. Just like before, the base Sierra version will wear a rectangular grille, smaller chrome web and bigger front bumper, while the Denali luxurious models will offer a much more highlighted look and it will be quite more eye appealing. Headlights will stay unchanged while illumination system will be updated. When it comes to the rear end taillights will be redesigned together with rear corners.
As far as the interior is concerned, there aren’t many details regarding the changes that will be applied in the new GMC Sierra 2016. From what we know, the cabin will be made of premium materials, offering a huge amount of space for all passengers, and the center console will be redesigned. Standard features will include A/C, and a premium 6-speaker sound system, while the higher trim levels will offer SAT/NAV and leather upholstery.
