2016 Chevy Traverse changes, redesign, price – The Traverse is midsize crossover SUV that overcome expectations after sale started in 2008. Only in the US and Canada around 100,000 units have been sold so far. This figure is way more than predicted. On the SUV market competence is huge but nevertheless Chevy Traverse has built its way to the top, together with Buick Enclave and GMC Acadia. The new Chevy Traverse 2016 will resemble its older brother. We won’t see any huge changes but there are reasons why would Chevrolet significantly change this SUV at this point. 2016 Chevy Traverse redesign

As it was mentioned in the first paragraph 2016 Chevy Traverse won’t be changed too much due to the fact it was released seven years ago and it still doesn’t need major transformation. Perhaps, 2017 model will be revised but there are no any indications yet. More lightweight materials will be used in order to achieve better fuel consumption. Two designs will be offered – base model and LTZ trim design which will come with two exhaust pipes. Seven or either eight seats are going to be placed in three rows with the third row easily to be pulled out, creating more space at the back. It is important to say Lambda platform will be offered with a base type. Chevy Traverse 2016 changes

Under the hood of the new Chevy Traverse 2016 won’t be significantly changes. Basic engine will be same as in the previous model. 3.6-liter 6-cylinder, which haven’t received any major complaints by users, will be standard choice. This direct injected engine will produce 281 hp and 266 lb-ft of torque. The second option is basically exactly the same engine with output of 288 hp and 270 lb-ft. It is stronger but the difference is not significant. Transmission system will be 6-speed automatic while driving system will depend on the model. LTZ will have all-wheel drive and base model rear-wheel drive.

2016 Chevy Traverse release date and price

Chevrolet wanted to launch new Chevy Traverse 2016 in line with some other SUVs which will compete with Traverse on the market. Considering there are now huge refreshments the 2016 Chevy Traverse price won’t be higher previous model and it is expected to be approximately $32,000 for the base model.
