2016 Audi Q7 price, review, specs

2016 Audi Q7 price, review, specs – The Audi Q7 is one of the best full size SUV vehicles and it has been one of the best selling cars for Audi for years. However, the car was quite old and even though the design received a few updates, it was still the same basic car underneath. The new model on the other hand rides on a completely new platform which allows it not only to be lighter, but also slightly smaller and it allows the car to have more space inside the cabin despite the smaller size. Audi says that the new Audi Q7 2016 weighs almost 750 pounds less than the older model and this is mostly because that was an over-engineered car that just didn’t need all that off-road ability.

2016 Audi Q7 redesign

On the exterior, the 2016 Audi Q7 did shrink a bit when compared to the older generation but it now looks a lot better. In borrowed heavily from the Prologue concept and this shows in the more angular front grille, the straight headlights with the LED daytime running lights included in them and also with the profile of the car which makes it look more like a fast estate rather than an SUV which is a bit odd but still good looking.

Audi Q7 2016 specs

In terms of engines things are going to change, but not as much as we expected it to. The new Audi Q7 2016 is now going to have a 2 liter turbocharged inline 4 as a base engine, which is good for around 260 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque. Further up the range, a similar 3 liter supercharged V6 to the older generation is going to be offered. This will provide just as much power as before at 333 hp but it will offer a better fuel consumption thanks to the much lower weight of the car. There is also going to be a 3 liter diesel with 272 horsepower and just a bit more over 400 lb-ft of torque. The top of the range won’t be a massive engine but rather a hybrid that will use a 3 liter turbocharged diesel and a pair of electric motors for a total combined power of around 442 hp and 500 lb-ft of torque that will easily be able to compete with the fastest SUVs out there.

2016 Audi Q7 for sale and price

The new Audi Q7 2016 resembles a lot more the A6 in terms of platform and drivetrains than the older model which is a bit of a let down but to be expected from a car that is usually used mostly on road or on light off-road such as unpaved roads. While it has been officially unveiled back in December 2014, the 2016 Audi Q7 won’t go on sale until May 2015 when it is expected to come for a base price of around $50,000 which is right where the previous model was.
